Welcome to our website.
We originally started producing MIDI files to use as sound augmentation for our nightclub acts, programming on the Roland MSQ-700, a very crude sequencing device compared to what is available today. We were using a variety of synthesizers and very limited sound modules for playback. We then moved up to the Roland MC-500 which provided much better editing capabilities and was generally a lot easier to work with. Not long after that, we started working with the Roland D-110, a sound source that provided the capability of playing back eight different parts plus drums. Finally, we aquired Macintosh computer s and have been programming with them ever since. We now use the Roland Sound Canvas for playback. As far as we know, the Canvas was the original General MIDI sound source.
By 1989, we had compiled a library of songs and decided to test the market by offering MIDI files (called sequences back then) for sale. Ours was one of the first companies in the world to offer MIDI files for sale. We soon found out there was a tremendous need for MIDI files throughout the United States and around the world. Since then we've built up a sizeable base of loyal customers all over the globe.
Our MIDI files are very close transcriptions of the source recordings. Unless indicated, all files include a melody track, and we've programmed the vocal harmonies and backgrounds on many of the songs. We've also written solos where there are solo sections. We've attempted to include every instrument that is heard on the source recording, even if it's a bell that is heard only once. All of our MIDI files include setup data for General MIDI (see our section about General MIDI). If you don't use General MIDI you can simply delete the first measure of every track and set up the file for your own particular configuration.
We believe that once you give our MIDI files a try, you'll agree they are some of the finest files commercially available. You can probably get MIDI files for nothing off the Internet and from other sources, but most often you'll get what you pay for. W e back up our product; if you order a file and it fails to load we will send you a replacement.
So check out our small but mighty catalog. We're sure you'll find plenty of titles that will be useful to you. And be sure to come back often to see what's new.
